From Pam Dorsey, Director of Milton Community Schools
This is my 21st(!) year as director of MCS; I'm also the Milton Public Schools Transportation Director and
Substitute Coordinator.
A neighborhood of friends...
MCS provides quality enrichment programs - used not only
by children of working parents, but families all over Milton! Think of MCS as a
“neighborhood of friends.”
About Your MCS Director...
I enjoy ancient history, gardening, ethnic cooking, and football.
My special places include Bermuda, Captiva Island, reading in bed, and my patio on a summer afternoon.
Favorite authors are James Lee Burke and Wilbur Smith (especially The Sunbird).
Must-see TV and movies include Deadwood, The Simpsons, Star Trek and Cape Fear (the originals), Sleepers, To Kill a
Mockingbird, and Fried Green Tomatoes.
On the home front I have a husband on-site, three sons - one married, one at URI, and one at home, a daughterin-law,
a six year-old grandson, and Ronald the cat.
My bumper sticker? "Tree Hugging Dirt Worshipper" - go figure!
About My MCS Organizers...
Admin Assistant Jody Shannon loves the Cape, reading, labrador retrievers, Las Vegas (what happens in Vegas STAYS
in Vegas!)
Admin Assistant Laurie Dunn is a mom of three who enjoys her job in the MCS office, reading to her children,
sudoku, and long walks. She likes working at MCS because it's rewarding and FUN!
